SALT LAKE CITY — KSTU-TV/FOX 13, Tribune Broadcasting’s Salt Lake City station, today announced that it is expanding its top-rated weekday morning newscast to five-and-a-half hours beginning Monday, December 12.

Good Day Utah will air live from 4:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. every weekday, and feature the same team of talented journalists that Utah morning news viewers have embraced for many years: Dan Evans, Kerri Cronk, Kelly Chapman, Damon Yauney, Big Budah, Scott McKane and Allison Croghan.

“Expanding Utah’s most-watched local morning news is a natural progression for KSTU,” said Tim Ermish, General Manager. “As our community continues to grow – so does the demand for quality, relevant local news. Fox 13 is committed to meeting that demand.”

“Viewers clearly love our morning news team and, judging from the success of Good Day Utah, appreciate us delivering local news at times when our competitors are not,” said News Director Marc Sternfield.

With this expansion, Fox 13 will be producing 10.5 hours of live news each weekday and 62.5 hours per week –more than any local television station in the Salt Lake City DMA.

“Live! with Kelly” moves to 10:00 a.m. on KSTU-TV. “Dr. Oz” moves to 2:00 a.m.
