Not a whole lot to report this week other than high school basketball season has started, and I am lucky to be coaching the girl’s basketball teams. What that means is that when I get home from work I can rest for 35 minutes before practice starts at 1:15 p.m. and goes until 4 p.m.
Yes, it is busy, but fun and rewarding. My highlight this week was hanging with one of the best dudes I know in former University of Utah football coach Ron Mcbride. He has taught me so much in and outside of football. Hopefully that is good karma for the Utes to beat Oregon this weekend!
As far as my health and fitness, I am still doing well and am making slow but steady progress in terms of my strength and how I feel overall.
I was also honored to come in second to a friend and colleague, Ben Winslow, for the City Weekly’s Best Of Utah awards in the Best TV News Reporter category. I am so humbled to be included in that conversation.
