Bull moose poached in Farmington Canyon. – Utah DWR

FARMINGTON, Utah – The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is asking for help finding the poacher they say shot and abandoned a bull moose in Farmington Canyon.

Authorities found the moose lying partially in the road up Arthur’s Fork on Oct. 10.

DWR said the moose had severe trauma from being shot in the front shoulder.

Officials don’t have any suspects at this time.

Anyone with information can call the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources at 1-800-662-3337.

A reward may be available to anyone who provides information leading to the successful prosecution of the person, or people, responsible for this crime.
