BYU will not join Big 12… for now

After months of expansion talk, the Big 12 has decided it will not expand its conference, following a Presidents' meeting Monday morning.

No expansion candidate, including BYU, received the super-majority vote (8 of 10 teams) needed to be added, according to ESPN.

However, none of the teams being considered as an addition to the Big 12 received a vote.
