Former Utah QB Brandon Jones dies after bicycle accident

SAINT GEORGE, Utah — Former Utah quarterback Brandon Jones died Wednesday after suffering extensive injuries in a bicycling accident on Monday.

Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George confirmed Jones died Wednesday at the hospital.

Jones started at QB for the Utes in 1995, and he was part of the ’94 team inducted into the Crimson Club Hall of Fame this past weekend.

Loved ones stated that “Brandon Jones is a true example of what a Man, Husband, Father should be! He is an example to us all of a great human being.”

A GoFundMe page has been created to raise funds to assist the Jones family.
