SALT LAKE CITY - Many Utahns were eager to hear what Donald Trump had to say during the Presidential Debate Sunday Night, expecting him to address a recently surfaced tape from Access Hollywood.

"All he did was repeat that this is locker room talk," said Jason Rust, a voter who watched the debate last night.

Trump apologized for his use of vulgar comments about women on tape, where he made statements of groping and kissing women whenever he wanted to.  But, repeatedly, he explained the tape away by saying it was just, “locker room talk.”

"He needed to win, and win big last night," said Tim Chambless, an associate professor at the Hinckley Institute of Politics. "Instead, he lost.  He did better than the first debate, but he still lost."

Chambless pointed out the continuing trend of Republican politicians like Speaker of The House Paul Ryan pulling his support for Trump on Monday, the day after the Debate.

And yet, GOP Party Chairman James Evans released this statement Monday afternoon in support of Donald Trump explaining that his apology, was enough for the party to move forward.
