This was a great and busy week. For the past few weeks I have been utilizing the 5X5 workouts and cardio with a system called Turbo Jam and Cize it Up, but I have been struggling with my diet and rest. It hasn’t been so much an issue of what I am eating but how much I am eating.
I am struggling to reach my daily caloric intake, so I am starting a goal for the last three months of the year to get back on track with my macros, and now that I am fully recovered I intend to hit the gym hard so I can start the new year right.
Part of my new lease on life is to spend time with my family, immediate and extended. I am glad to start a monthly Temple visit with family members. I have often been asked why I workout so early in the morning. It is simple really: I do it so that I am able to be available to maximize my time with my wife and children. To avail myself for my family during the time they need things done is my mission.
My highlight this week has got to be my work trip to the happiest place on Earth: Disneyland and Disney California Adventure to check out Halloween fun and the Tower of Terror’s farewell tour.
I got to hang out with some great people and Disney stars. I also took my first ever Uber ride, but my driver didn’t want to take a pic. He thought it was weird.
I always tell people while on this Losing For Life journey that “Half the battle is showing up!” That is how I truly feel. See y’all next week, and thanks to everyone for their ongoing support.
