ORLANDO, Fla. – A Missouri family's trip to Disney World and the beach ended in tragedy Sunday when they were involved in a car crash that killed both parents and injured their two daughters, police said.

Greg Moyers, 40, and his wife Sarah, 39, had saved up for months to be able to bring their daughters – 13-year-old Hailey and 8-year-old Sophia – to Orlando, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

After a trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, they were driving to the beach when a Ford Focus drifted into their lane, forcing the Moyers off the road and into a tree. The couple died in the crash, and both their girls were rushed to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children where Haley was in critical condition and Sophia was listed as stable, according to the paper.

Police said 43-year-old Charles King of New London, North Carolina, was behind the wheel of the Ford Focus. King was not badly hurt in the wreck. The accident is still under investigation.

Greg Moyers owned a muffler business in Park Hills, Missouri, and his wife Sarah was a manager at a McDonald's restaurant in Desloge.

Close friend Loni Burnside Eaton told the Sentinel the Moyers were raising five children, including two they took in to help Sarah's sister.

"Their kids were their world. They were very involved and supportive parents and just wanted the best for them. They wanted the girls to experience Disney and the beach," Eaton said. "I can't believe this really happened."

A family friend set up a fundraising page for the Moyers' children.
