UTAH -- Utah’s extreme weather spawned two destructive tornadoes, but it may be flooding that causes the most widespread damage.

Fox 13 looked at U.S. Geological Survey information to see how much water ran through Utah’s normally low rivers during the storm that began Wednesday and got most extreme on Thursday.

In Roosevelt, the Uinta River was flowing at 70 cubic feet per second (CFS) at midnight Thursday. At midnight Friday, that flow was 700 CFS.

The Green River near Vernal was flowing at 2,000 CFS on Thursday and at 5,000 CFS Friday.

And most astonishing of all, the Price River rose from 3 CFS on Wednesday to over 8,000 CFS on Friday, making it the biggest river in the state for much of the day.
