SALT LAKE CITY -- In another sign of Utah’s unexpected relevance in the 2016 Presidential election, Indiana Governor Mike Pence will visit Utah to attend Senator Mike Lee’s Utah Solutions Summit, and Utah Democrats decided to get their view across before the GOP's VP candidate sucked up all the media attention.

“He's the same Mike Pence who, as governor, alienated businesses, he's divided communities, and has signed divisive and discriminatory legislation including Indiana's anti LGBT law,” said Utah Democratic Party Chair Peter Corroon.

Lee’s Democratic opponent, Misty Snow, made her point by suggesting Lee’s “Solutions” Summit was misnamed.

“He doesn't seem to have solutions, and as a working class person who understands what it's like to be poor, I'm running against Mike Lee to give a voice to Utah families,” Snow said.
