USU, Weber State to play in first live college football game on Twitter

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State opens their football season at home against Weber State on Sept. 1.

Not only will this be the 14th time since 1959 the Aggies begin at home, but it will also be the first college football game broadcast live on Twitter. The broadcast will showcase a newly renovated Maverik Stadium and will be produced by the Mountain West Network on Campus Insiders.

The Aggies boast a 13-1 all-time series against the Wildcats, WSU earning their only win in 1978.

Against Football Championship Subdivision schools, Utah State has won each of its last nine games since falling to Idaho State, 27-24, in 2000.

USU has also won 23 of its last 26 home games, including 12/15 against non-conference opponents.
