The fans have spoken.

William McCarthy will take the reigns as the first head coach for Utah's newest indoor football team, the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles.

Team President Thom Carter sat down with FOX 13 Sports reporter Morgan Vance on Sunday to make the announcement.

What sets the Screaming Eagles apart from other teams is it is controlled by the fans. From its home city to the coach, the fans were the decision makers.

"It's taking the fan experience to the very next level," Carter said.

And the involvement will continue. As the team begins its season, fans will be able to submit plays for the games, which will be livestreamed on the internet worldwide.
