SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — North Summit Fire crews are battling a wildland fire near Echo Canyon, and the blaze has consumed about 8-10 acres so far.
Tyler Rowser, North Summit Fire, said as of just before 5 p.m. Sunday the blaze is 5 percent contained and is burning northward. One lane of Echo Canyon Road has been restricted as crews respond.
North Summit Fire first reported the blaze around 2:45 p.m. The fire is not threatening any structures.
The fire is believed to be human caused, Rowser said, but the exact cause remains under investigation. FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
