PARK CITY, Utah -- The seventh stage of the Tour of Utah started and ended in Park City Sunday.

Andrew Talansky started the day with the lead after winning stage six, but Lachlan Morton made his move after the main pack left the Heber Valley and started the climb up Empire Pass.

Morton had a great climb, kept his lead and was the first rider to reach the top, leaving him with the descent into Park City.

The Australian was cheered on by the crowd on Main Street as he raced to the finish line. He won stage seven, and it was his second stage win this year.

Morton ended the tour of Utah in the yellow jersey as the overall winner, 1:09 ahead of Adrien Costa.

“It’s a dream come true,” Morton said. “The start of the day today, we all knew it was a long shot. We had a bit of disappointment yesterday, but we really wanted this. I've never got emotional in a race before, but that last kilometer on Main Street here, that's what you dream about. That's as good as bike riding gets."

Lehi’s TJ Eisenhart finished 7th overall and was voted the fan favorite. His BMC Racing Team also won the team title. Sandy-born Rob Squire finished 9th overall.
