SPANISH FORK, Utah — A Manti man was killed Friday night after a rollover crash.

Authorities were called to the scene of an off highway vehicle rollover four miles from Emma Park Road near U.S. Highway 6, in Spanish Fork Canyon at 7:30 p.m. Deputies with Carbon County Sheriff’s Office, officers with Helper Police, and Carbon County Ambulance responded to the scene where they found the driver of the crashed vehicle being driven in a private vehicle from the scene.

Ambulance personnel made contact with the vehicle where they determined 43-year-old John Mulder was dead. There were no obvious injuries, but Mulder may have suffered serious internal injuries, police said.

According to police, witnesses reported Mulder lost control of the OHV and it rolled off of the dirt road they had been riding on.

An adult male riding with Mulder suffered minor injuries.

Police believe alcohol may have been a factor due to evidence at the scene.

An investigation is in process.
