Crews contain grass fire sparked by firework in Herriman

HERRIMAN, Utah — Unified Fire Authority firefighters have contained a grass fire that threatened some structures Thursday afternoon, and officials said a firework started the blaze.

The fire burned about an acre near 13700 S 7300 W. A representative for the fire department said no homes were threatened, but the fire did get close to some sheds and barns.

Officials said the fire was caused by a firework, but they did not provide further details.
