The New Jordan Valley Cancer Center: Prevent. Treat. Thrive.

This summer, Jordan Valley Medical Center opens its new two-story cancer facility for inpatient and outpatient care. The cancer center will specialize in the treatment of breast, hematologic, urological, gynecological, head and neck, and gastrointestinal cancers. The facility was designed to generate a comprehensive medical experience with both compassionate care and advancements in treatment, while promoting healing and comfort. The cancer care specialists work as a team inside the facility to create an individualized plan for each patient.

Give. Support. Comfort. —Volunteering at Jordan Valley Cancer Center

Volunteer work of any kind can be a fulfilling experience for you and your loved ones. Inside a cancer center, there are many teams working together to provide the best possible care for patients, including a group of volunteers.

The Jordan Valley Cancer Center is opening its doors to people in the community who are interested in joining a team of compassionate, friendly, and supportive volunteers. Cancer resource center volunteers are specially trained to assist patients, family members, and caregivers in finding resources available for them that meet their specific needs. Volunteering at the cancer center is specifically rewarding for those who may be family members or friends of cancer patients or even a cancer survivors themselves, as this is a one-on-one experience with the cancer patients and their care givers. The most important qualification for someone interested in volunteering at the cancer center is the ability and desire to provide compassionate assistance to the patients and their families.

Volunteer hours are during regular business hours and you must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer at the Jordan Valley Cancer Center.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Robin Anderson at 801-601-2310.
