Recipe: Allergy Free Meat Marinade

Megan Lavin, the blogger from Allergy Awesomeness, shares her favorite grilling marinade recipe with us.

Zesty Italian Chicken Marinade

  1. 1/4 cup white vinegar
  2. 1/4 cup lemon juice
  3. 2 teaspoons sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  5. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  6. 4 cloves garlic
  7. 1/2 cup canola oil
  8. 1 teaspoon nutritional yeast
  9. 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Directions:

Add all of the ingredients to your blender, except for the oil. Turn the blender on, and then slowly pour the oil in to create an emulsion. Marinade your chicken for 8-24 hours in the marinade. Grill chicken and discard the marinade. Once the chicken is cooked through, allow it to rest for five minutes before cutting or serving. This marainde is also fabulous for sauteing your summer veggies!
