A 12-year-old from Highland, Christian Nydegger, plays at a high level, but it's a sport you may not have ever heard of.
Nydegger is a member of the US under-14 Youth National Futsal team, a team that will be competing in a U14 tournament at the site of the World Cup in Colombia this September.
Futsal is a variation of indoor soccer played in an arena roughly the size of a basketball court, but without the walls used in traditional indoor soccer. The sport is growing in popularity locally. See the video above for an interview with Nydegger.
