UTAH COUNTY — Fire crews have contained a small blaze that erupted near Utah Lake, early Sunday morning.
Firefighters were paged out to the flames at West Mountain Lincoln Beach area at about 6 a.m. As of 11 a.m., the fire was about 12 acres and contained, said Capt. Andrew Watson with Utah County Fire.
Unless the wind picks up significantly, Watson said, the blaze should stay in its boundaries.
It is unknown how the fire started at this time and no structures are currently being threatened.
