The Salt Lake City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicle they believe was used by the suspect in the shooting death of 16-year-old Paris Gustin Tuesday Morning, July 5.

According to Salt Lake City Police, the images of the vehicle were captured on surveillance in the Rose Park area at approximately 4:00 a.m.

The vehicle is described as possibly a white Nissan Sentra with fog lights, small rear spoiler and tinted back passenger and rear windows.  Police said it is a possibility that the suspect may live in that general area.

Detective Dennis McGowan with Salt Lake City Police said they aren't sure how many people may have been in the car. He said these surveillance photos could be crucial in helping solve the case.

"We believe that even 4 o'clock in the morning someone perhaps saw what happened or knows something more about what happened, will recognize the vehicle and come forth and get this person off the street before something else happens," he said.

Officers found Gustin dead inside a car at the Glendale area at 1100 West and 985 South by the Jordan River Parkway.  The shooting happened while riding with two friends nearly three miles north in the Rose Park area at 1000 West and 600 North.
