Andrews Air Force Base is all clear after a lockdown Thursday morning amid confusion during an active shooter drill, according to a law enforcement official.

Andrews, located in suburban Washington, is home to Air Force One.

Vice President Joe Biden’s pre-scheduled trip to Ohio was delayed by the reports, according to a spokesperson.

“(He) was scheduled to depart JBA this morning, but is holding at the Naval Observatory,” the spokesperson said.

Neither the Washington nor Baltimore field offices of the FBI responded to the situation at Joint Base Andrews.

According to a public information officer in the Washington office, the reason for this is because of the confusion over reports of a drill or an actual incident.

The FBI field offices let security on Joint Base Andrews sort out the confusion.
