BROOKLYN – Two basketball players from Utah colleges will be taking their talents to the professional level after the 2016 NBA Draft, and one of them is staying here in Utah.

Jakob Poeltl helped the Utes make a couple of nice runs in the NCAA Tournament the last few years, and now he’s an NBA lottery pick.

The Toronto Raptors selected Poeltl—who is from Vienna, Austria—with the ninth pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft.

Poeltl will join former Utah teammate Delon Wright, who was selected by the Raptors in the first round last year.

Joel Bolomboy from Weber State is also headed to the big leagues. Bolomboy was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 52nd pick in the second round.
