Police searching for suspect in North Temple Shooting

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for a man that was involved in a shooting late Monday evening.

Police said that two men got into an argument in the parking lot of the Gateway Inn at 819 W. North Temple.

LT. Michael Hatch said that one male suspect grabbed a gun from his car and shot the victim in the thigh. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The SLPD is still trying to identify and find the suspect involved in the shooting. The suspect is believed to be 5 feet 7 inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities say the suspect is wearing a dark colored ball cap, white polo shirt, jeans and left the scene driving an older gold or tan Toyota Corolla.
