Man shot four times in Ogden gang shooting, police say

OGDEN, Utah — A man is in critical condition after being shot four times in the upper torso during an alleged gang fight in Ogden, early Saturday morning.

At about 1:30 a.m., two males were walking south along the 2700 block of Washington Boulevard when they got into an argument with three to four males across the street, according to a Facebook post from Ogden police.

During the argument, the post indicates, the suspects crossed the road and began to fight with the two individuals. As the confrontation ensued, police, state, the victim, a 26-year-old man was shot four times in the upper torso.

After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene across the street.

The incident appears to be gang related, the post indicates.

Medical crews arrived and the victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

After interviewing witnesses and persons of interest, Gang and Major Crimes detectives were able to get search warrant, which was executed by the Ogden Metro SWAT Team.

No handgun has been found and no arrests have been made at this time.
