Crews extinguish brush fire in Tanner Park in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — Crews from Unified Fire Authority and Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to a fire burning on about an acre of brush in Tanner Park Saturday.

Salt Lake City Fire Department first tweeted about the blaze just before 3 p.m. Saturday. The department says about one acre of brush in the bottom of Tanner Park was involved.

Crews were able to put out the fire quickly, officials at the scene said.

The park is located at 2760 South Heritage Way in Salt Lake City.
