Mentally this week has been taxing because I haven’t been able to go to Vasa due to a left shoulder and wrist strain from improper technique during squats. I am happy to have been able to keep myself positive and motivated while waiting to heal up.
I have had some good reminders of how blessed I am lately. Instead of a birthday, it felt like a birth week, starting with the good folks at Smith’s who surprised me during work with a cake. Thanks to Mike Dale and Marsha Gilford.
Then, later in the week, my family took me and my daughter Jordyn (because it’s her birthday too) to Seven Peaks to cool off and have lunch at J Dawgs (best hot dog hands down) and ended the night with a birthday cake.
No big gifts, but I don’t feel like I need anything. Truly my family makes me whole.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and for everyone’s ongoing support for my efforts to live a healthier life. Click here to follow my Losing for Life journey from the beginning.
