Bre Lasley is the founder of Fight Like Girls. On her website fightlikegirls.org she recalls the terrifying ordeal that almost left her and her sister dead.
"He spent 14 years behind bars then days after he left the prison walls, in the middle of the night, as a fugitive, he came into my bedroom window and began brutally attacking me and my sister. He told us over and over, "I'm going to kill you." After 6 long minutes of fighting for our lives, he had me pinned, with his cold knife pressed against my neck. That's when a police officer rushed to our rescue. Our angel officer demanded our attacker to drop the knife, when he didn't, our officer fired a single shot - taking the attacker's life and saving mine. The minutes we fought were crucial to our survival. Police told us a mere 20% of women fight back. That man was our human attacker but the depression, anxiety and stress following that horrific night made us realize he wasn't our only "attacker" and our fight was far from over. Fight Like Girls is here to help and encourage girls to keep fighting, whatever their "attacker" is. We want to help girls fight, just like we did, to survive. Let us throw some love & punches into your fight."

Bre has put together an Intro Night with Elizabeth Smart as the guest speaker. All donations will be put back into our organization as well as into the Elizabeth Smart Foundation to help provide free resources for fighters who can otherwise not receive, what could be, life-saving help.
