Start planning early- If you're doing it at Storybrook reserve your date a few months in advance.
Pick a theme that your child will love and be creative. Don't forget the party is about them so find ways to personalize it. You can mix themes to make it more interesting like a "fairy princess tea party" or the "Be Brave Like a Girl" princess party.
Unless you are doing a "rainbow" themed party, pick 2-3 colors for the party supplies and try to stick to those. That will simplify things for you.
Try to create decor that can have multiple uses. Sometimes the decor can be used again for a different theme the next year or even as bedroom decor. For example, if you want to do a Cinderella party you can use mostly blue and silver decor with just a few Cinderella specific pieces. Remember, it's all in the details so the earlier you start planning the more time you will have to find things to make it really special.
Book a live princess or princesses early. There are amazing local companies that have super talented princesses. It makes the whole party experience that much more magical.
Balloons always fill a room and kids love them so we always recommend them.
You don't have to do an elaborate spread, but a nice dessert table always looks great in photos. Our premium package includes cupcakes and balloons as well as goodie bags.
Try to do an interesting take home gift that goes with the theme. For a princess party tutu's, wands and crowns are always a hit. You can get creative with these too though. The kids can decorate their own crowns or wands or make necklaces as a fun craft. Books and plants can be a fun take home gift as well.
Hire a great photographer so that you don't have to worry about taking pics during your event. This way you are also in the pics and you don't miss any magical moments. Our photographer is amazing and very reasonably priced.
