SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah -- A summer favorite in Park City was opening Sunday morning.

The Park Silly Sunday Market is in full swing for the season, and this year marks a milestone decade that vendors have lined Main Street.

Nothing kicks off summer like this, with live music, food and unique local crafts.

"It's opening day, so we figured come check it out,” said Ryan Schoonover.

"The music's awesome, it's really fun. The crafts, they're really great," said Julie Loguidici.

"It's a beautiful place, a lot of neat, creative vendors out here,” said Austin Anderson, who owns the company Spoonwright with his brother.

They sell specialized wooden spoons that they handcraft from reclaimed wood.

It started as a side hobby to building furniture.

"We're making the spoons out of the scraps of what we were making, and then it just kind of turned into full-time," he explained.

Down the way, Christy Montrone-Burns showed off her creations. She turns stones and sterling silver into jewelry.

"It's a creative outlet," the 14-year-old craftswoman said. "Once you start doing it, it's addictive."

Her pieces may be thoughtfully and quietly laid out, but Montrone-Burns is set up steps away from the action of the band. Their music brings a lively vibe to her booth.

"This particular market is so fun, because it's a festival every week,” she said. “I'm always by the music. So, it does feel like it's a party down here."

A fun party is exactly what the festival organizers hope for. That’s why Park Silly Sunday Market features a different theme each week, and they encourage costumes.

"This week is our rainbow theme, to celebrate Pride Fest,” Executive Director Kate McChesney said. “It's more or less us always continuing to be as silly as we possibly can, to really funk it up."

The Park Silly Sunday Market continues every Sunday through the summer, with the exception of August 7 and 14. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit their website for more information.
