SALT LAKE CITY -- The top ten possible names for Utah’s newest professional sports franchise are in, and Teamy McTeamface still has a chance.

Utah’s new Indoor Football League team plans to pioneer fan participation at every level, and their promise starts with the team name, which fans are choosing in an online vote.

“We are really gonna go with the winner, absolutely, no doubt,” Sohrob Farudi said.

Farudi knows that may mean living with the Utah Teamy McTeamfaces.

“Hopefully it doesn't win because those logo options, I'm not interested to see what those look like,” Farudi said.

Farudi is breathing a little easier now than he was last week. Teamy McTeamface was the top vote-getter in the first round of voting, but now that it’s down to the top ten, it’s a distant third to the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles and the Utah Sandtroopers.

Sandtroopers is a "Star Wars" related term for Stormtroopers wearing desert gear.

Screaming Eagles refers to the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army, which stormed Utah Beach in Normandy on D-Day.
