Disney has released the first teaser trailer for its live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast.”

The film, set for release on March 17, 2017 stars Emma Watson as “Belle,” Ewan MacGregor as “Lumiere,” Luke Evans as “Gaston,” Dan Stevens as “Beast,” Ian McKellen as “Cogsworth” and Emma Thompson as “Mrs. Potts.”

According to the description accompanying the teaser trailer, the film will stay “true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs,” when compared with Disney’s animated feature from 1991.

In  a Facebook post last year, actress Emma Watson announced she had been cast in the role of Belle.

“My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it,” Watson wrote.
