Therapist Anastasia Pollock joined us today to help explain why we're all so stressed. The quick and simple answer is that we're not wasting enough time! Wasting time has negative associations and because of those we're not taking care of ourselves and recharging our batteries. A good way to start is to be aware of the guilt that comes with wasting time and let it go. Make yourself your number one priority. Re-frame that negative connotation by taking time for yourself because we are actually being self less so that we can be more productive to others. Essentially we're doing everyone else a favor.

But what exactly is time wasting? Time wasting is doing something that you love that doesn't drain you and recharges you. It can be gardening, laughing, or even binge watching your favorite TV show. Just spend the time doing something that makes you feel good. It's important to schedule these time-wasting moments in your schedule and hold yourself to it. Doing this will really help lower your stress levels so go waste some time!
