YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - This video is going viral because a woman did something you should NEVER do... she got up close and personal with a bison at Yellowstone National Park.

A family visiting the park captured the rare sight on video Saturday during the park's opening weekend.

The unidentified woman slowly walked up to the bison and then started petting it.

The family said they were going to yell to her to stop and get away from the wild animal but since it was calm and on the ground, they pressed record instead.

At least five people were gored by bison at Yellowstone National Park last year alone.

That is just one of the reasons visitors are not allowed to come within 75 feet of the giant animals.
