There were a lot of highlights for me this week. My daughter Jaelyn turned 18 and made her decision to be a Utah State University Aggie after she graduates from Jordan High School.
My wife hates when I grow facial hair, so to help motivate her to do her physical therapy and walk sooner I told her I would grow my facial hair out until she can walk without crutches. She claims I’m lazy…maybe.
One of my favorite things is hanging out with family to BBQ chicken, especially for a nephew who is leaving to serve an LDS Mission in Apia, Samoa. Go get’em Austin.
The most exciting news for my Losing for Life journey is that I completed my weight program, Lane Norton’s 90 day Power and Hypertrophy program with a one-rep max test. I am grateful to Filipe Filimoeatu and Sione Havili and the rest of Team Fleks, who have pushed me and helped me stay motivated.
When I started, my one-rep max for squat was 225 pounds, bench was 225 pounds and my deadlift was 405 pounds. After 90 days, my new numbers are 335 pounds for squat, 245 pounds for bench and 445 pounds for deadlift.
This is not the end but just another beginning, and I am looking forward to more growth and progress.
