Child suffers minor injury after truck hits school bus in Spanish Fork

SPANISH FORK, Utah — One child was taken to a hospital with minor injuries Thursday afternoon after a truck reportedly ran a red light and hit a school bus and another car.

Matt Johnson with the Spanish Fork Police Department said the school bus was traveling northbound on 2550 East when a truck heading eastbound on SR-6 ran a red light.

The truck collided with the bus and another passenger car. The crash occurred sometime around 3 p.m.

The bus had 15 children of elementary school age aboard at the time of the crash, one of whom was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

There were no other injuries reported.
