  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 large roasted red peppers
  • 8-10 basil leaves
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 large tomato slices
  • 4 onion slices, any kind
  • 1/2 cup loosely packed spinach leaves
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Form ground beef into 4 burgers; season both sides with salt and pepper. In a large skillet up to medium high heat, add patties. Cook to desired doneness. Add 2 slices of cheese to each burger for 2-3 minutes before finished cooking to melt through.

In a food processor, add mayonnaise, roasted red peppers, basil, salt and pepper. Toast buns, if desired. Add some of the spread to each bun. Top with a cooked burger patty, tomato slice, onion slice and some of the spinach leaves. Serve immediately.
