SALT LAKE CITY -- In an effort to reduce emissions from commonly-used equipment, the Department of Environmental Quality is offering a lawn mower exchange program.
The DEQ will provide 944 electric mowers and 732 electric trimmers in exchange for gasoline-powered lawn equipment.
Those interested in the program can register for the event Wednesday starting at 8 a.m. at http://carrot.deq.utah.gov/mowers.htm.
The exchange will take place on April 23 at the DEQ office, 195 N. 1950 West.
