Two arrested after tip leads Spanish Fork police to marijuana grow

SPANISH FORK, Utah — An anonymous tip led police in Spanish Fork to a home where they located 30 marijuana plants, a sizable amount of marijuana and a small amount of methamphetamine.

According to the Spanish Fork Police Department, officers serving a search warrant on the residence Wednesday located a marijuana growing operation in the basement of the home.

Authorities located 30 plants, 272 grams of marijuana and 0.5 grams of methamphetamine along with various items of drug paraphernalia.

Police obtained the search warrant after receiving an anonymous tip.

Two adults, Benjamin Williams and Jessica Distefano, were booked into jail on drug related charges.
