DENVER — Police authorities have cleared suspicious items from the Denver International Airport after a possible security threat caused a section of its main terminal to be evacuated on the west side, Tuesday.

The evacuation came hours after bombs ripped through an airport and subway station in Brussels.

According to tweets from the airport, the evacuation area included levels five and six from doors 600 to 610.  Officials have reopened both levels to passengers.

Level six is closed to vehicles while police clear out.

Affected ticket counters included: American, Aero Mexico, Air Canada, Lufthansa and British Airways.
