2 brothers missing from Las Vegas believed to have returned to the area

UPDATE: Two brothers who were missing from the Las Vegas area are believed to have returned to that region. Police said Benjamin and Bryant Peterson may have been in Salt Lake County earlier this week, but new social media posts appear to indicate they have returned to the Las Vegas, Nev. area.

believed to be in the Cottonwood Heights/Midvale area.

Brothers Benjamin and Bryant Peterson left their mother in Las Vegas in the area of Fort Apache and Gilmore. They are believed to be in Utah seeking shelter somewhere in the Salt Lake valley, according to a press release from Cottonwood Height police released Monday.

The boys had recently posted on social media they were in the Salt Lake area.

On March 10, police confirmed at least one of the children was in the Cottonwood Heights/Midvale area.

“There are special circumstances surround these children’s disappearance, qualifying an endangered status,” the release states.

Both boys are listed on the National Crime Information Database.

Ben, 16, is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing jeans and a white-hooded sweatshirt.

Ben has pierced ears and lip.

He may be carrying a backpack with personal belongings.

Bryant, 12, is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, 95 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing khaki pants and a pink polo shirt.

Anyone with information on Benjamin or Bryant Peterson is asked to call the non-emergency dispatch line at 801-840-4000.

Anyone who sees either child is asked to call 911.
