DENVER — It was a bad night for the Utes.

The University of Utah was seeded third, but 11-seeded Gonzaga was more than a match for the Utes as they earned the 82-59 win and ended Utah’s run in the NCAA Tournament Saturday night in Denver.

Utah trailed for much of the game, and they headed into the locker room at halftime behind by 15 at 44-29. Things would only get worse from there, as at one point Gonzaga led by 30 points (80-50). The Bulldogs ultimately won 82-59.

While Kyle Kuzma managed 15 points and Lorenzo Bonam put up 12, other normally reliable scorers were contained. Jordan Loveridge was shut out, Jakob Poeltl was held to 5 points, and Brandon Taylor only managed 7.

Gonzaga, which had four players score in double figures, advances to the Sweet 16 in the tournament.
