WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — Another suspect in a welfare fraud and money laundering case against leaders of the polygamous Fundamentalist LDS Church turned himself in Saturday, and he is expected to appear before a judge on Monday.

According to information from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah, Rulon Mormon Barlow self-surrendered Saturday and was booked into the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Washington County.

Barlow is expected to appear before a judge Monday.

The man is among 11 people who were charged in the case. Unsealed court documents allege FLDS leaders directed members to hand over their SNAP benefit cards to the FLDS storehouse, and that certain individuals laundered money to hide the activity.

Documents obtained by FOX 13 News Saturday indicate the fraudulent activities allegedly exceed $12 million.
