SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police confirmed Saturday that a third person wounded in a shooting in South Salt Lake Thursday has died.

South Salt Lake police confirmed around 10 p.m. Saturday that the victim, so far only identified as a 20-year-old male, has died.

The victim’s 19-year-old brother was also injured in the shooting Thursday, and the 19-year-old died on Friday.

Police have not released the names of either individual, in accordance with the wishes of their family.

A third individual, identified by his family as 17-year-old Armando Curiel, died Thursday after the shooting. His family spoke to FOX 13 News Friday about their loved one.

All three of the young men were found at the scene of the shooting on East Park Creeke Lane. A fourth individual with a gunshot wound to the leg turned up at an area hospital several hours later.

Police recovered one handgun inside the car where the shooting occurred, and a second handgun was found on the street.

While police have classified all four individuals as victims, they are not looking for any suspects in connection with the shooting, which began and ended with the four individuals who were inside the Ford Explorer when shots were fired.

The sequence of events leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
