Dalai Lama reschedules visit to University of Utah for June

SALT LAKE CITY – His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet has rescheduled his visit to Utah after canceling for health issues back in September.

The Dalai Lama is now scheduled to speak at the University of Utah Huntsman Center Tuesday, June 21 at 1:30 p.m.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale for University of Utah students, faculty and staff April 1 at 10 a.m.

Tickets for the general public will be available Monday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at utahtickets.com or the Rice-Eccles Stadium ticket office at (801) 581-8849.

Student tickets are $10 and tickets for the general public will be $35.

A limited number of obstructed-view tickets will be available for $30 each.

The University said all local proceeds from the event will go to the Utah Tibetan Association to benefit the Tibetan Community Center.
