MAHOMET, Ill. — An emotional performance by a high school dance team in central Illinois is going viral.

In the video, the Mahomet-Seymour High School Competitive Dance Team dances to the spoken word track “What Are You Afraid Of?” by Jon Jorgenson. The team used a quote from track to title their performance: “What room does fear have?”

Halfway through the performance, basic black leotards transform into light white dresses to really bring home the message.

“The wardrobe change symbolized starting afraid and insecure to suddenly letting go of your fears,” Mahomet-Seymour senior Autumn Hodge told The Pantagraph.

Since the video was uploaded to YouTube Feb. 1, it has been viewed over 3.5 million times. It has amassed millions of views on Facebook, even getting shared on Ashton Kutcher’s page.
