The “last radio call,” sometimes called the “end of watch call,” is a tradition in funerals for fallen law enforcement officers. In the call, a dispatcher makes one last attempt to contact the officer, and often says a few words in memoriam.

Doug battled through adversities to return back to doing what he loved: being an officer. He cherished working side-by-side with his work family and the communities he served.

Doug, you will be missed by all. God bless you and your family. Officer Doug Barney is now 10-42. We have the watch from here.
