SALT LAKE CITY -- Presidential hopeful Donald Trump has already been drawing large crowds for his rallies, now he’s boasting a major endorsement, former Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

The endorsement comes less than two weeks from the Iowa caucuses.

"Right now it's all about the bumper sticker, all about what I can say to be in the press or to get people to come out to my rallies," said Jason Perry, Director of the Hinkley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah about the Republican race for the White House in 2016.

Perry said the timing of the endorsement could be a key to give Trump and edge.

"In Iowa right now, which is so interesting sort of skews to the conservative side this really really is going to help Trump in a race in which he is virtually neck and neck with Ted Cruz,” Perry said.

Helping Trump in Iowa, may not mean much in Utah.

Perry said Trump is barely polling above Democrat Hillary Clinton in the Beehive state, it remains to be seen if the conservative endorsement will have an impact.
