Police seek public’s help in finding suspect in credit union robbery

OGDEN, Utah — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect who robbed a credit union armed with an apparent IED Saturday morning.

At about 9:20 a.m., a man walked into Goldenwest Credit Union, 3225 Harrison Blvd, approached a teller and demanded money.

“The suspect produced what appeared to be an improvised explosive device,” Ogden City police say.

The suspect left the credit union with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident and police say there are no safety concerns.

The suspect is described as a 40-year-old Caucasian man with dark hair wearing a black-colored undershirt and tan-colored jacket.
