OGDEN, Utah -- An estimated $2,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from an adult novelty shop in Ogden early Monday morning after the suspects used a brick to shatter a store window before stealing various items from within.

Assistant Manager Haley Smith was the one who discovered the vandalism when she came to open the store Tuesday morning.

“As soon as I saw that, my heart just dropped to my stomach,” Smith said.

Lt. Nate Cline of the Ogden Police Department said a police report indicates a brick was thrown through the window of Blue Boutique in Ogden, 3365 Washington Boulevard, early Monday morning.

Various tutus, miscellaneous clothing, lingerie, purses, dresses and costumes were stolen, Cline said.

“They took a lot of tutus. Like a ridiculous amount of tutus,” Smith said.

The two masked suspects were caught on surveillance camera. In the video, you see the two men drive up in a white pick up truck, take out some buckets to stash the goods, and enter the store.

The camera inside the store caught the men quickly going through the racks, before driving away.

“The footage was hard to watch," Smith said. "Just strange men. It’s like if my home were to get robbed or broken into."

The suspect vehicle was found Tuesday at the 100 block of west 33rd Street, which is a few blocks away from the store. A price tag from Blue Boutique was located inside the vehicle.

The owner of the pickup truck in question reported the vehicle was stolen out of the Kaysville area.

While Ogden police continue their search, Smith has a message for the suspects.

“Honestly, get a job like the rest of us," she said. "We're all making an honest living."

The crime was caught on camera, and that footage is available in the report above as well as in the two raw videos embedded below.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or who has information about the crime is asked to call police at 801-629-8221.
